Ana Gómez Bernaus is a visual creator based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Barcelona, her early work was influenced
by Catalan Modernism, an art and literary movement that emerged around the turn of the 20th century. The movement’s attention to detail and visual richness permeated her style, filling her designs with dynamic, intricate compositions.

In 2009, she moved to New York City, where she developed a love for typography and adopted a more rational and organized approach to her work. Barcelona gave her a passion for illustration, New York inspired her fascination with typography, and both disciplines now converge in Los Angeles through her expressive digital lettering and abstract 3D art. Her current work blends influences from both worlds, combining intricate details with clean, contained environments.

Ana’s commercial designs span a variety of media, including film titles, advertising campaigns, apparel, and editorial projects. Her clients include AIGA, The Los Angeles Times, and Microsoft, among others. As she ventured into the abstract fine art world, her work gained recognition and was licensed by companies such as Adobe, which featured one of her pieces as the splash screen for Adobe Audition 2022.

She has received numerous accolades, including the Type Directors Club Certificate of Typographic Excellence, the Communication Arts Typography Award, and the SOTA/TypeCon Prototype Competition in 2016. Additionally, she was nominated for the Lürzer’s Archive 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide (2013/2014) and the Outstanding Graphic Design category at the Cinema Eye Honors.

Ana’s work has been featured in several prominent publications and books in the U.S. and Europe, including Adobe Create, Domestika, AIGA’s Eye on Design, Graffica, and Etapes.

Currently, Ana works at Buck as an Associate Creative Director and is represented by Richard Solomon in New York for non-competing freelance commissions.
